Background

About

I'm a Solutions Architect at BSH Home Appliances in Munich. I work across seven development teams that develop and maintain BSH's global Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce platform, helping shape architecture, processes and technology decisions across them.

Most of the last decade has been in this space. It started in the Asia Pacific region rolling out websites, then product management of a platform powering 240+ websites and 120+ online shops, and more recently leading an end-to-end transformation into a MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) architecture. The part I enjoy most is the overlap of engineering, product and business, and I'm at my best when a complex, multi-stakeholder programme has to feel quietly manageable to everyone involved.

Beyond the day job

Outside work

From 2022 to early 2025 I volunteered with Start with a Friend (SwaF) (opens in a new tab), a Munich-based organisation that connects newcomers and long-term residents through one-on-one tandems and community events. I conducted intake interviews, mediated tandem matches and ran information sessions about the programme.

In my free time I run, sometimes more seriously than I'd planned. Lately I've talked myself into a few races: half marathons in Lisbon and Munich, and the 3-Länder Marathon across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

I also read a fair bit, mostly around product, engineering, leadership and personal development. A few that have stuck with me recently:

Domain-Driven Design Distilled (opens in a new tab)  ·  Slow Productivity (opens in a new tab)  ·  System Design Interview (opens in a new tab)  ·  Start with Why (opens in a new tab)

If you're on Goodreads too, let's connect there (opens in a new tab).
